Setting 5 - Upper heating/lower heating/convection/ rotisserie Ideal for cooking meat and poultry on the rotisserie. The convection airflow helps cook the food faster. Setting 6 - Large Hotplate Ideal for large pots or frypans. The Large Hotplate indicator light will illuminate when this function is selected. Please note that the Large Hotplate will not work at the same time as the Rotisserie Oven. Only the Small Hotplate will work at the same time as the Rotisserie Oven. Oven Timer Dial Set the timer by turning the Timer Dial clockwise to select the desired duration, ranging from 0-60 minutes. The power indicator light will illuminate when a timer setting has been selected. NOTE: You must select a timer setting for any of the Rotisserie Oven functions (including the hotplates) to operate. 3. Wash the Baking Tray, Tray Handle, Rotisserie Handle, Wire Rack, Rotisserie Rod and Prongs in warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly before use. 4. Plug the Rotisserie Oven into a power outlet and switch on. 5. Select setting 1 on the Cooking Function Dial (upper, lower heating element and convection). Set the Rotisserie Oven Temperature to a maximum heat setting (250ºC) and set the Oven Timer Dial to 10 minutes. This will eliminate any odours within the Rotisserie Oven and burn off any excess lubricants which were used in the manufacturing process. 6. Once the Oven Timer Dial has elapsed and the bell has sounded, turn the Temperature Control Dial to LOW and the Cooking Function Dial to OFF. 7. Unplug the Rotisserie Oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool down. Once cool, use a soft damp cloth to wipe the inside of the appliance. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. NOTE: You may notice a slight odour being emitted from the Rotisserie Oven during the initial use. This is normal and will cease with continued use. After the Rotisserie Oven has been pre-heated, place the food to be roasted onto the Baking Tray and then insert into the Rotisserie Oven, placing in the middle or bottom position depending on the size of the meat. WARNING: The Rotisserie Oven will be hot after pre-heating, please be careful when inserting the Baking Tray. Ensure you wear oven mitts. 4. Turn the Oven Temperature Control Dial to your desired heat setting, then select your desired timer setting to roast your food. The Power Indicator Light will illuminate to let you know it has been activated. 5. 3. Slide the other Prongs through the square end of the Rotisserie Rod, again ensuring its facing inwards towards the meat. Once latched onto the meat, tighten the thumbscrews by turning it clockwise to secure. 4. Ensure the meat is still centred on the Rotisserie Rod, then fully tighten the thumbscrews on the Prongs. NOTE: If you are cooking poultry, ensure you bind it with string to prevent the wings or legs from obstructing the rotisserie during the cooking process. Ensure any fat or loose trimmings are cut off before placing the meat on the rotisserie. 5. Insert the pointed end of the Rotisserie Rod into the drive socket located on the right side of the oven wall (see Fig. 1 below), the square end of the Rotisserie Rod rests on the Rotisserie Rod Support located on the left hand side of the oven wall (see Fig. 2 below). PLEASE NOTE: The Large Hotplate has only one temperature setting and is not adjustable. If you need to adjust the temperature of what is being cooked, use the Small Hotplate.
