To reset the password for the TP-Link RE615X, follow these steps:

1. Reset the extender to factory default settings:
- With the extender powered on, use a pin to press the Reset button for 1 second. The extender will reboot.
- Alternatively, log in to the extender’s web management page, go to Settings > System Tools > Backup & Restore, and click Factory Restore.

2. After resetting, visit http://www.tplinkrepeater.net to create a new login password.

Note: The extender must be reconfigured after a reset to access the internet. Write down your new login password for future use.

My RE615X worked great for several months but now is having issues connecting to internet. Loses connectivity frequently or cannot connect at all. I've unplugged it, then repluged it back iin, i've hit the reset button on the side of the extender, and i hit the REBOOT button on the tether app but it still is having internet connectivity issues with the primary router. firmware version 1.1.8 Build 202444421555555525 Rel. 41867. should i stick a paperclip in the tiny hole above RESET button? been about 5 days now that i am having these issues. i uninstalled and reinstalled the Tether app which is how i originally connected.
