Introduction:
The light operates by either of 2 modes, Automatic mode (by default) or Manual mode.
Setting modes:
Automatic mode on with PIR active
Turn the lights off at the Isolating switch and leave OFF for 30 seconds then turn the isolating switch on. The sensor
light is now in automatic mode.
Manual mode on:
In automatic mode, trip the PIR sensor with movement, then while the lights are ON switch the isolating switch OFF and
ON again within 1 second. The PIR sensor is now disabled and the lights will remain on.
PIR sensor settings:
The motion sensor works by PIR - Passive Infrared Technology. It will switch the lights on when it detects "Warm
Movement".
1. SENS – sensitivity/distance of detection is adjustable up to 12 metres
2. TIME – Time-on is adjustable, 7 seconds to 10mins
3. LUX – MOON icon for night-time only. Adjust switch towards SUN icon
for dusk or daytime operation. Adjustable range from 3 to 2000 lux
Setting up the detection field
• Switch the power supply on and wait 15 seconds for the unit to stabilise before any adjustments
• Turn the LUX knob all the way to the SUN icon position and the TIME knob to the minimum TIME position
• Adjust the aim of the detector head to the area that you want covered to check that you are being detected.
You may need to readjust the aim of the detector head until you are satisfied
Setting up LUX light level detection:
• Once the detection field is set as per instructions above, turn the LUX switch toward the MOON icon.
• To adjust at what light level the detector becomes active. At the time of the evening when the desired light level is
reached that you want the detector to activate, adjust the LUX knob towards the SUN icon until the light switches on.
Setting up TIME:
• Adjust the lights "on" TIME as desired, from 7 seconds to 10 minutes by turning the TIME knob.
Ensure that the PIR settings are set up as per the order above
Installation Instructions:
Mounting and location:
• The KSL210 can be wall mounted or eave mounted. The switches must remain under the sensor when mounted.
Before mounting under the eave, gently rotate the sensor 180 degrees
• The recommended mounting height is 1.8 to 2.5 metres
• Position the light in a protected area away from direct exposure to the weather is recommenced
