5-meter drop cable. This sensor converts the rudder's angular movement into a digital signal, which is then transmitted across the NMEA 2000 network. The data provided by the AS09 can be utilized by autopilot systems, https://www.quark-elec.com...
(MFDs) to enhance navigation and control. Hosting a powerful 140° measurement range with a precision of ±0.5° the AS09 is an essential piece of equipment to aid in smoother sailing, precise movements and to prevent over-compensation when manoeuvring.
Figure 4: Pin NMEA 2000 male micro-fit connection After powering up, the AS09 will turn the physical rotation of the rudder arm into a digital signal which is read by the AS09 and transmitted along the NMEA 2000 network via PGN127245. This PGN can be used to display the rudder angle onto an MFD or chart plotter but to also integrate and function within an autopilot system.
