Installation Instructions
Dome Antenna Pole Mounting Adaptor
SAB-342
SW3-1167- v1
1. Introduction
For use with the L[X]M[X]M4[X]-6-60 Mako® and L[X]M[X]M[X]-6-60 5G Great White® antenna
series, the SAB-342 provides a simple mounting solution for fitting these product lines to standard
1.5" / 38mm outside diameter poles. Note: This instruction does not cover the installation of the
mounting support pole, which is a separate process but note points in section 2.
The adaptor allows the antenna to be mounted to the top of a pole with the cables protected by
being routed internally through the pole . The adaptor is mounted and locked on to the antenna
using the M18 thread boss and set screw. The antenna with adaptor is then fitted on the pole and
locked in place using 3x set screws.using 3x additonal grub screws.
2. Planning and Installation
The adaptor fits to 1.5" / 38mm diameter poles with a hollow centre and a suitable exit point (usu-
ally at base of pole) will be required for cable routing. Check that all the pigtails and connectors/
extension cables for the antenna will pass through both the M18 hole in the pole adaptor and the
inner diameter of the mounting pole. Make sure that the top of the pole is flat and the adaptor fits
correctly on the pole. Check the extension cables can be routed from the pole exit point to the
router considering length of run required and protection from mechanical damage
To minimize the effects of surrounding objects, the antenna should be located as far away from
other objects and structures as possible. The antenna is omni-directional, so it does not need to
be facing a particular direction. The orientation of the antenna should be horizontal with the cable
exiting downwards.
