Parts included:

Installation:
1. The remote search light can be permanently mounted with the provided hardware by drilling four 23/64" holes into the surface of mounting
location. Place unit in desired location and mark hole locations before drilling. Make sure the area behind mounting location is clear of
obstructions such as wires, fuel lines, etc., prior to drilling. Mount the unit using provided hardware.
2. The remote search light can also be mounted using the powerful magnetic base if drilling is not desired or possible due to insufficient
clearance. Make sure the surface of the magnetic base and desired mounting location is clean and flat to prevent scratching the vehicle's
painted surface and ensure a strong bond. If mounted using only the magnetic base, the remote search light should be removed from the
vehicle's exterior prior to driving on public roads or while traveling at access speeds and in strong wind conditions.
3. Route the power cord and plug into a 12V receptacle. Make sure power cord is not in the way of any vehicle controls such as the steering
wheel, accelerator and brake pedals, transmission shift mechanism, etc., for safety.
Operation:
1. The remote search light and wireless remote is preprogrammed and ready for use. Press the on/off button to turn the unit on. You can
adjust the direction of the beam by pressing the direction buttons.

2. If unit does not turn on when the on/off button is pressed, make sure the 12V receptacle is powered on. If the 12V receptacle is powered on
and the light will not turn on when the on/off button is pressed, the wireless remote may need to be reprogrammed by following the steps
listed below.
a. Make sure there are no other RF transmitters within 10ft of the unit.
b. Unplug the unit from the 12V receptacle, wait 5 seconds to clear the unit's memory and reinsert plug.
c. Press the up and down buttons simultaneously within 5 seconds of reinserting power plug into 12V receptacle. The light will flash once the
remote is programmed and is ready for use.
Bulb replacement:
1. Unplug unit from power source.
2. Remove the four screws from the face of the unit and remove bulb housing.
3. Remove the screw holding the H3 bulb to the housing and disconnect from the connector.
4. Insert the new bulb and connect the connector.
5. Reassemble in reverse order.
Note: Lamp should always be installed with the bulb retaining screw in the top position.

• This remote search light is for off-road and utility use only and is not designed for off-road use as a driving light.
• This remote search light complies with part 15.105 of the FCC Rules. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed
and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or
more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

• Changes or modifications made by the user not expressly approved by Pilot Automotive, Inc. for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
• The Pilot Automotive remote search light is a radio transmitter and receiver operating at 433.92MHz. When the light is on the internally mounted antenna sends out and receives radio frequency (RF) energy.
• Modern Electronic equipment such as medical devices, pace makers, hearing aids, etc., are shielded from RF energy. However RF energy may affect some electronic equipment.
• Vehicle electronic systems may be affected by RF energy. Check with your vehicle manufacturer representative to be sure that your remote search light will not affect the electronic system of your vehicle.
