Before you get started with the AI-12 dashcam, check for the following items in your box:

NSTALLATION CHECKLIST
Refer to this checklist to ensure that all the necessary steps for installation are completed.
Installation checklist and process:
1. Check SD card is inserted and formatted.
2. Check SIM card is inserted.
3. Connect the dashcam to a power source (temporarily).
4. Use QR code insert to set Telstra APN BEFORE mounting to vehicle windshield.
5. Mount the dashcam to windshield.
6. Connect the dashcam to a constant 12/24v power source (permanently).
7. Set the road-facing and in-cabin-facing viewing angles.
8. Calibrate the accelerometer on flat ground.
9. Check the live video of the road-facing and in-cabin-facing cameras.
10. Calibrate the dashcam for road facing ADAS.
When a dashcam is in storage, the battery gets completely drained. Before using the dashcam, you
need to charge it for an extended period, using at least a 2A power source before turning it on.

SD and SIM card Installation
1. Use the special screwdriver included in the box when you purchased the dashcam to remove
the safety screws that lock the protective cover over the SIM and SD card slots.
a. A magnet under the cover is used for detection. When the protective cover is
opened, a tamper event is triggered.

- Page 2 BEFORE mounting the camera to the vehicle windshield, ensure the camera has power and follow the below steps to set the Telstra APN details on the camera. 1. Use PIN: 3333 to unlock the Surfsight AI-12 camera LCD 2. Navigate to **Settings > Wi-Fi** to disable Wi-Fi and Hotspot 3.
- Page 3 The input power connector is located on the side of the dashcam cylinder. 1.4.1 Hardwire the dashcam to the vehicle battery via the fuse box The dashcam must be connected to a constant 12V or 24V minimum 2A power source using the supplied cables.
- Page 4 4. The ground wire The ground wire is in the shape of a ring. This should be connected to a solid ground connection, ensuring it is a clear metal on metal connection to the vehicle chassis. 5. To hardwire the dashcam: Insert the new fuse box tap that was provided in the installation kit into slot 1 of the add-a-fuse kit.
- Page 5 Start your vehicle to test the dashcam. Once you have tested your dashcam, run the power cable along the headliner of the vehicle from the A-Pillar to the power source. BEFORE mounting the camera to the vehicle windshield, use the QR code insert and steps provided to set the Telstra APN details on the camera.
