® Prepare the BPC After you receive the BPC® Air incubation unit, first perform the following preparations: Unpack the instrument and place the BPC® Air in a well ventilated laboratory environment where you intend to use it. Operating the BPC ® To operate the instrument, follow the steps below: Step 1: Power on the instrument using the ON/OFF main switch on the bottom of the instrument. You will hear that the fan is switched on. The thermostat controller will not turn on automatically at this point.

-10-10 °C 0 °C To set the temperature for the BPC® Air, select the F1 code for setting the temperature value. This is the most used function on the unit. Code F2 stands for return difference, and it represents the temperature difference value of the air that is pumped out and the air which returns.

To assist with tubing management, all lids of BPC® Air provide a graphical suggestion on how to connect the tubing from the bioreactors to the BPC Core detection unit (see example pictures below for the 18 standard and 18 ex-situ configurations).

When using high incubation temperatures, wait until the system cools down before removing the lid or any bottles from the unit. Check the condensate level in the bottle at the bottom of the instrument and empty if needed. BPC® Air Manual...
Periodically inspect the power cord and connections for any signs of damage. If needed and only if directed by our support team at BPC instruments, there is an option to open the two panels located in the front and back of the instrument (Figure 6 below), to allow for access to the electronics and possibility to repair any minor issues.
Chapter 07: Maintenance and Spare Parts If you encounter any issues while using the BPC® Air instrument, please contact technical support. If service or spare parts are required, contact BPC Instruments AB directly or one of its representatives. This equipment must not be disposed together with unsorted waste. Instead, it is the user’s responsibility to dispose the equipment at lifecycle end by handling it over to an authorized facility for separate collection and recycling.
