OneTouch UltraSoft Lancets are for use with all OneTouch
®
OneTouch UltraSoft brand automatic blood samplers from LifeScan, and
®
most other blood sampling devices.
Intended use
The OneTouch UltraSoft lancets are sterile, single use devices that have
®
been designed for single patient use in a general environment. Their
intended use is for performing skin punctures on adults, children and
neonates for the express purpose of obtaining blood samples for a variety of
reasons e.g. diabetic blood glucose monitoring.
However, frequency of use and intended patient population is dependent on
the treatment regime.

Instructions for Use
The end user loads the lancet into the lancing device.
Twist off the moulded cap to expose the sterile needle
immediately prior to use. Save the cap for later use.
After preparing the test site, the subject will follow the
lancing device instructions for use to perform a lancing
event on the appropriate finger.
The used lancet should be capped with the moulded cap
and disposed of in accordance with local requirements
Disposing of the used lancet
It is important to discard the used lancet carefully after each use to avoid
unintended lancet stick injuries.
Contraindications
The OneTouch UltraSoft lancets are not indicated to perform Alternate Site
®
Testing (AST) and should not be used to test on the forearm or palm.
Warnings and precautions
• For single use only.
• For your safety, never share the lancet.
• Use the convenient snap-on cap for safe disposal.
