- Page 2 1. Connect the dock to the laptop. Use the included USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the dock to the laptop. Connect one end to the USB-C host port on the dock (the port with the laptop and battery icon). Connect the other end to a USB-C port on your laptop.
- Page 3 The back of the dock (from left to right). Two HDMI ports. Use HDMI1 for Alt Mode and HDMI 2.0. Use HDMI2 with Silicon Motion and HDMI 1.4. One VGA port to use with Silicon Motion. One USB-C power pass-through port (it has a plug icon above it). This port requires a minimum of 85W PD from your USB-C power adapter. It is recommended that you use a 100W USB-C power adapter for full capabilities.
- Page 4 Video specifications. Single Monitor: HBR3 with DP1.4. HDMI1 provides 4K @ 60Hz; HDMI2 provides 4K @ 30Hz; VGA provides 1080p @60Hz. Dual Monitors: HBR3 with DP1.4. Using HDMI1 with HDMI2 provides 4K @ 60Hz on HDMI1 and 4K @ 30Hz on HDMI2. Using HDMI1 with VGA provides 4K @ 60Hz on HDMI1 and 1080p @ 60Hz on VGA.
- Page 5 When your laptop lid is open, you can have up to four individual displays: your laptop as one display (labeled A), two HDMI monitors (labeled B and C), and one VGA monitor (labeled D). When your laptop lid is closed, you can have up to three individual displays: two HDMI monitors (labeled A and B) and one VGA monitor (labeled C).
- Page 6 Silicon Driver Installation Guide. a. Connect the dock to your laptop. The dock will activate the INSTANTVIEW flash drive. b. Open the INSTANTVIEW folder. For Windows: Click "Windows InstantView" to install the driver. For macOS: Click "macOS InstantView.app" to install the driver.
