- Accessing control panel by using RS-485 communication module at 1200 meters. Each fire alarm control panel must have ML-1201 Network module in order to establish the connection between GCU and Maxlogic series fire alarm control panels and ML-12XX.N models must be selected.
4.4 Control Panel - GCU Connection GCU can be connected directly to a maxlogic series fire alarm control panel with network card or to a network line consisting of Maxlogic series control panels. The connection of GCU to fire alarm control panel is made via network card. The connections must be made by using 2x0.75 LIHCH FE 180 / PH 120 network cable.
4.5 PC - GCU Connection Specially designed software is used to configure GCU. (More explained in Section-8 GCU Configuration and Putting in Service) Cable connection, between GCU and PC on which the software is installed, is made through the PC socket on control panel front facade.
5 - OUTPUTS After installing supervisor software, connection type and communication module which will be used between control panels and computer (Supervisor) chall be selected. Upon selecting the desired communication module, the appropriate GCU model needs to be supplied. 5.1 RS-232 Output Used for communication between control panel and computer at max.
Cable connection for RS-485 must be made as below: 5.3 TCP/IP Output Used for communication, between control panel and computer on which Supervisor is installed, through internet (LAN or WAN). GCU model must be ML-1207.C which includes MLY-1207.C TCP/IP Module. If computer is in the network, cable connection must be made to Ethernet dipswitch.

General Fault: It shows that there has been a fault during normal operating condition of GCU. It illuminates “Yellow” continuously.
7 - Fuses Fuses on MLY-0502 Power supply; 28 V input fuse (F1) The Self-resetting fuse gets activated on 3A current overload and in case of PSU failure. Battery fuse (F2) The Self-resetting fuse gets activated on 1.1A current overload and in case of any failure related to battery input. Batteries becomes disabled.
