INTRODUCTION 2.1 DESCRIPTION • This equipment is designed to remove calcium and magnesium ions found in hard water by exchanging them with sodium ions. • After a certain amount of use of the ion exchange resin, its concentration of NaCl(sodium chloride) is lowered and the cation can no longer be removed.
