    The 200-FR achieves this through a ceramic friction clutch design using a friction material that does not swell in water or at depth. The ceramic clutch allows ‘slippage’ of the arms around a central rotational fulcrum when the arms hit a rock on the seabed for example.

    2.0 SAFETY 2.1 OVERVIEW All local HSE procedures must be followed. Use of PPE should follow guidelines outlined with handling of potential sample. For example hydraulic pressure should have PPE appropriate to mitigate dangers associated with that operation. Safety glasses should be considered minimum requirement irrespective of potential sample. Your safety is your responsibility.

SERVICING 8.1 BREAK AWAY CLUTCH DETAILS TORQUE NUT TO 20 TO 40 FT/LB Strip clutch pack at the end of each hire and clean in warm fresh water to remove salt build up on the ceramic clutch plate and friction surfaces to ensure smooth operation. Re assemble dry with nothing on the ceramic clutch plates.
