Removable Starter Length
Midtherm HT-S Starter Length has a 0.9mm inner liner so that it can be fitted directly to a stove
where permitted by the stove manufacturer. Stove manufacturer's installation instructions and
building regulations must be followed.
Carbon Monoxide detectors must be installed for solid fuel installations.
Use fire rope to make an airtight seal onto the appliance wherever possible.
Operation: If spillage is seen from any flue joints, discontinue the use of the appliance until
inspected by a qualified / competent chimney sweep.
Maintenance: Remove cover band and insulation, inspect joint for air tightness. Carry out smoke
test without cover band fitted.

HT-S is tested to BS EN 156-1. BS EN 15287 allows BS EN 1856-1 chimneys to be used as connecting
flue pipes. SW 316 0.9mm is tested to BS EN 1856-2 and forms the inner liner of the HT-S 0.9mm
inner products including the starter lengths.
The most stringent regulations must be
