  • Page 11 Turning on the instrument (1) The TC-720 plus should be placed on a clean, flat, stable surface. It should not be place in an area exposed to direct sunlight, moisture, or electromagnetic interferences. (2) Testing area should meet all operational conditions stated in Chapter 2 including, humidity, power, temperatures, and pressure.
  • Page 12 If malfunction 9 appears during the instruments initial set up, it is possible that the test board has shifted during transportation. The strip rack may have been blocked so that it is not working properly. The following procedure could be used in order to fix this issue.     Instructions for changing printer paper: Turn on the apparatus; remove the printer cover by applying a steady upward force on the cover and pressing down on the arrow on the top of the cover. Take out the printer rod and place through the paper.

    ATTENTION: 1) The apparatus shall be installed in a place satisfying the work requirements. 2) Clean the apparatus often with soft rags 3) Don’t disassemble it randomly. 4) Use clean sampling cup. 5) Use fresh urine sample. 6) Concentrated urine samples must be diluted. 7) The strip must be dipped completely into the urine, and dipping time in the urine shall be strictly controlled at 2 seconds.
  • Page 15 In the main menu, using the arrow keys, choose test and press . At this time the instrument will beep a series of times. Dip the strip in the urine for no more than 2 seconds making sure the urine comes in contact with all parameters.

    SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Do not move the instrument while a test is running. It will cause the instrument to malfunction. The apparatus will begin to test the first test strip at the 60 seconds and will test one test strip every 5 seconds thereafter.

The 720 plus can also print using an external stylus printer. These settings can be changed using the “Print on” in the “Parameter” menu. When using an external printer the status of that printer cannot be controlled using the 720 plus.

    CALIBRATION Using the calibration strip Every instrument comes with a calibration strip. It is to be used to make sure that the instrument is working properly. First change the strip type to URS-11. Then run the strip. Compare the results with those in the calibrator strip box. They should match exactly. The calibrator strips should be maintained clean.

    CLEANING and MAINTENANCE Routine Cleaning This instrument must be maintained properly in order to insure proper operation. CAUTION: It is forbidden to use organic solutions such as alcohol, or acetone, etc to clean the reagent strip bracket. It shall be cleaned and washed with soft rags, such as gauze.

    Replacement Parts The TC-720 plus is a complicated instrument and should only be worked on by people who have been trained. Do not disassemble the unit unless specifically asked to do so by the manufacturer. 10.1 Replacement of Fuse Warning:Be sure to pull out the power plugs before attempting to fix the instrument.

    URINE ANALYZER WARRANTY Teco Diagnostics warrants to the original purchaser that this instrument will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 365 days (1 year) from the later of the date of original purchase or installation (except as noted below). During the stated 365-day period, Teco shall replace with a reconditioned unit or, at its option, repair at no charge a unit that is found to be defective.
