The Jujiang JS-DG exit wand is designed to send an "open" signal to the gate when a vehicle is detected. If your gate stays open instead of closing automatically, check the following:

1. Wiring Connections – Ensure the blue wire from the wand is connected only to the “OPEN,” “EXIT,” “BLU,” or “SWIPE” terminal on the gate opener’s circuit board. It should not be connected to a terminal that controls both opening and holding the gate open.

2. Gate Opener Settings – Check your gate opener’s settings to confirm that it is configured to close automatically after a set time. Refer to the gate opener's manual for adjusting the auto-close feature.

3. Interference from Metal Objects – Large ferromagnetic objects like bicycles, ATVs, or lawnmowers near the wand may unintentionally trigger it. Ensure no such objects are within the sensing range.

4. Testing and Resetting – Disconnect the wand and test whether the gate closes properly without it. If the gate closes correctly, reconnect the wand and adjust its placement or range settings to prevent false triggers.

If the issue persists, review the gate opener’s separate manual for further troubleshooting.

I performed the steps that the Automated Answer requested. This DID NOT CORRECT the problem, let's try again and this time how about a person that knows the equipment?? I verified that the terminals are correct and the connection is also in contact, I set Swipe Card P6 closing time for 15 secs the gate will open and when the counter gets to the 15 secs I can hear it "Click" but gate does NOT close. If this is a faulty Exit Wand then I need a new one sent to me immediately (I **** entering the HOT season in Arizona) so the system is completely finished before it is too hot to work outside. Please advise.

Also I would like to add, I connected into the Control box as shown in the "Exit" Manual by counting the connection illustration since the "Opener" manual does NOT show a Exit Wand set-up.

To ensure your Swing Gate PKM-CO26-400 closes after opening using the Jujiang JS-DG Exit Wand, follow these steps:

1. Check Wiring: Make sure all wiring is correctly connected according to the installation instructions. Incorrect wiring can prevent proper operation.

2. Power Off During Installation: Always disconnect power before making adjustments or rewiring.

3. Test Exit Wand Activation: Confirm the Exit Wand is placed correctly and only activates when a vehicle (or large ferromagnetic object) passes over it.

4. Avoid Continuous Activation: Ensure no metal objects remain over the wand, which could keep the gate open.

5. Use Protective Conduit: Make sure the underground cable is protected in a conduit to avoid interference or damage.

6. Gate Controller Settings: Check the gate opener’s control box settings to confirm the auto-close function is enabled and set to the desired delay time.

7. Safety Precautions: Train all users on how the system works and ensure they stay clear of the gate during operation.

If issues continue, review the system for wiring errors or placement problems and retest.

    3. Drive your vehicle into the exit wand’s sensing boundary to see if your gate automatically begins to open. If the wand does not detect the vehicle, increase its sensitivity by disconnecting it from power, turning the range adjustment knob counterclockwise, reconnecting power, and waiting 60 seconds for the system to recalibrate.
