While this system offers a highly vigilant alerting method, it is always possible that a distress condition can go undetected for a variety of reasons (including malfunction) and in life threatening situations it is advisable to use the Alert-iT system in conjunction with additional techniques.

    If the new boosted range is insufficient or there is a direction in which the signal strength needs boosting then more Repeaters can be fitted without limit.     NOTE: Although Ni-MH batteries rarely leak, they do suffer from reduced capacity if allowed to discharge completely flat.
