OrganDonor uses analog switches to simulate keyboard presses directly. Normally this would require to solder two wires for each key. Luckily this can often be avoided by grouping common signals. OrganDonor features solder jumpers to connect common signals on the back of each analog switch board.
Installation First place the main board and the 3 switch boards inside the synthesizer case, see Figure 1. The main board gets placed to the left of jack panel, the 3 switch boards to the bottom of the case. Use the 2,9x6,5 screws for this. Then connect the main board and the switch boards with the 10-pole ribbon interconnection wires.
Power connection Connect the supplied wire assembly for the power connection to the main board. Connect V+ (red wire) to the point marked with a yellow circle in Figure 2. Connect Gnd and V- (black and yellow wires) to the point marked with a turquoise circle in Figure 2 (attention: both get connected to the black ground wires on the power supply pcb).

Installing the key connections Cut the ribbon cables to length and strip the wires. Switch board 1: Figure 3: Common bus and key contacts The first wire of the 20 wire ribbon cable gets soldered to the first common contact of the keyboard, see red circle in Figure 3. Take care not to desolder the internal red bus connection wire.

Switch board 2: Wires 1–16 get soldered to key contacts 17–32. Switch board 3: Wires 1-16 get soldered to key contacts 33- 48. Installing the midi socket You can either drill a hole in the back of the PE-2000 and install a Midi socket, or you can remove the Traveller Control jack, but leave all the connections intact.

Wires are not included in the kit. Press the learn button and while it is pressed send a midi note on any midi channel. OrganDonor will use this midi channel from now. These settings are saved.
