The Keep Warm 1.8L Infuser Kettle was designed to quickly bring a pot of water to a boil and brew your tea, then keep it warm for up to an hour.

    Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. If this should occur, contact Chefman® Customer Support.
  • Page 5 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Chefman® may result in fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. Do not use outdoors. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Page 6 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS WARNING: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in electric shock. GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current.
  • Page 7 To insert the plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into the outlet. To disconnect the appliance, grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet.     OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE FIRST USE To rinse the pot of any packing debris, “brew” a pot of plain water without tea. To do so, follow the directions below. Remove all packing materials. Be sure that all parts are included before discarding any packaging. Pull out the power cord from the compartment under the base, and place base on a flat surface.
  • Page 10 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO MAKE TEA WITH TEA INFUSER Remove the infuser from the lid by twisting it and sliding it in the direction indicated on the lid. Add fresh, cold water to the kettle to at least the MIN line and not past the MAX line.
  • Page 11 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO HEAT WATER WITHOUT MAKING TEA Follow the directions for making tea with the infuser but leave the tea and infuser out of the kettle. Use hot water as desired. BOIL-DRY PROTECTION The kettle comes equipped with boil-dry protection. While you should never heat the kettle without water at least to the MIN line, should the unit go dry or start without water, it will automatically shut off completely to avoid damaging the heating element.

    CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Clean the interior of the kettle as needed by removing the infuser and carefully rinsing the inside with soapy water. Rinse the inside of the kettle thoroughly. Wipe the outside of the kettle and power base with a damp cloth.
  • Page 13 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE GENERAL CLEANING NOTE Reheating tea in your kettle may result in a bronze-coloured tea stain on the kettle. This is caused by tea residue that adheres when reheated at high temperatures. To avoid tea-staining, do not reheat the same pot of tea twice and always rinse the inside of your kettle before each brew.

    INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION AVANT L’EMPLOI INITIAL Pour rincer le récipient afin d’éliminer les débris de conditionnement, remplissez-le d’eau uniquement et faites bouillir. Pour cela, suivez les directives ci-dessous. Retirez tous les matériaux de conditionnement. Assurez-vous qu’il ne manque pas de pièces avant de jeter tout emballage. Tirez le cordon d’alimentation hors du compartiment sous le socle et posez le socle sur une surface plane.

Nettoyez l’intérieur de la bouilloire en retirant l’infuseur et en rinçant soigneusement l’intérieur avec de l’eau savonneuse. Rincez bien l’intérieur de la bouilloire.
