Only a 6V lead acid rechargeable battery charger, or the solar panel, can be used. Ensure the switch is in the OFF position, and mount the energizer on a post, facing SOUTH for maximum sunlight throughout the day.

Wait for it to go through its Easy Battery check mode. Next, there will be about a 3 second time with no light flashing, prior to producing high voltage pulses.
