pushDOT
DALI switch interface
Controlling of DALI single addresses,DALI groups or
DALI broadcast commands
inputs (e.g. 2 rocker switches) for dimming and switching
Multi-controller capability
Operating Instruction
01.
Installation och säkerhet
Pushto is designed for standard momentary push-buttons and installed in appli-
ance box.
pushDOT gets its power from a DALI bus and requires no separate power supply.
02.
General information
pushDOT send on / off and dimming commands via a DALI bus.
pushDOT can control one or more addresses, or all connected DALI devices
(in broadcast mode).
pushDOT module is CE marked.
03.
Mounting
Place the pushDOT in the installation socket of the switch or push button.
Make sure that no wires are bent and the screws do not damage any wires.
04.
Connection
Connect the side of the rocker switch that shall be used to turn on and dim up
the lamp to the cable marked by „T1 up". Connect the side of the rocker switch
that shall be used to turn off and dim down the lamp to the cable marked by
„T1 down". Repeat this procedure (optionally) with the second rocker switch at
the connectors „T2 up" and „T2 down". If you do not use rocker switches, you can
also connect separate switches as described above. Connect the two orange con-
nection cables of the pushDOT module with the DALI bus. The polarity of the DALI
bus is not important for this.

Configuration
To configure the command addressing of the rocker switch 1, use the two
rotary switches of the pushDOT module. The rocker switch used at the con-
nectors T2 principally sends DALI broadcast commands. Two rotary switches
are used for setting the DALI address. If the switch position "0" of the rotary
switches is at the bottom, as shown in Fig. 1, the left rotary switch indicates
the decimal place of the DALI address and the right rotary switch indicates the
unit place of the DALI address.
Switch position 0 to 63: Via these numbers, one of the 64 single DALI addres-
ses (maximum number of addresses according to DALI convention) can be
accessed by the rocker switch 1. Switch position 64 to 79: Via these numbers,
one of the 16 addressable groups can be accessed by the rocker switch 1.
Switch position 80 to 89: Via these numbers the rocker switch 1 is defined for
sending analogously to the rocker switch 2.

**In normal operation, the selection of the combinations 90...99 must be
absolutely avoided, because otherwise the DALI bus is completely occupied by
test messages and another communication is hardly!
Note: If the rotary switch setting is changed for the address configuration while
one key is being held pressed, the change of the address will only become valid
after pressing the key again.

Operation On/off/dimming function
The lamps are turned on and off by pressing the push button briefly. If the
lamps are turned on, they have the maximum brightness level. If the push but-
ton is pressed longer, the brightness will be dimmed up or down.
When dimming up, the light will be turned on if it was turned off before.

Disposal of electrical waste
Your product is designed and manufactured with high quality materials and
components, which can be recycled and reused. When you see the crossed-out
wheeled bin symbol attached to a product, it means the product is covered by
the European Directive 2002/96/EC: Never dispose of your product with other
household waste. Please inform yourself about the local rules on the separate
collection of electrical and electronic products. The correct disposal of your old
product helps prevent potentially negative consequences for the environment
and human health.
