4 First Installation 4.1 Hardware Setup Please note: batteries shall be inserted into the remote control. The remote control comes with built-in Bluetooth, so you don‘t need a clear line of sight between the remote control and the decoder. Connection to the TV Set 1.
Page 8 Once you have connected your device to your TV and power source as described in Section 4.1, your Salt TV Box will initiate the setup process. After booting up for the first time, pressing any button on the remote control will trigger the automatic connection between your remote control and the set top box.

From there, you can pause the live programme (Timeshift), record it, change the audio channel, or add subtitles if available.
