- Page 2 Select the Menu then select Exit Eng Mode to disable Engineer Mode and return to the Home screen. The VG Rope Brake has been tested for lift speeds up to 5m/s. This is regardless of the mass of the lift car, the VG Rope Brake only has to brake the Out Of Balance Load and not the full mass of the lift system.
