    2.1.1 General The BPE PowerDepot A1 uses heat sinks for cooling, so ensure that it is installed in a room with proper ventilation. Keep away from water, chemicals or any explosive hazards.
  • Page 8 2.2 Installation steps Step 1 Take out the battery base from the system enclosure package and place the base against the wall. The distance between the base and the wall should be 30mm. Ensure that the base plate is mounted on flat ground and use a spirit level to confirm.
  • Page 9 Step 4: (Optional) If you have additional batteries, place them on top of each other by following the previous steps. Using the square bracket, secure batteries to one another to provide additional structural support. Note: A maximum of three (3) battery packs can be stacked on top of each other. Step 5 With the last battery mounted, use the larger L bracket to secure the batteries firmly to the wall.

  • Page 13 3.1 Grounding a. Ensure you properly ground the inverter body to the wiring box using the PE connection point. b. When installing the square brackets between battery packs, you are also making a permanent connection to ground. Ensure these screws are securely fastened.
  • Page 14 3.2 Battery Power and Communication Cable Connection a. Connect the red and black leads from the top of the 125A MCCB to the battery input terminals on the hybrid inverter. Next, drop the red and black leads from the bottom of the MCCB down the left side of the wiring box. This will allow you to connect to the battery pack below.
  • Page 15 3.3 Grid/EPS Connection For wiring up the grid and EPS port connectors, follow the diagrams below: Note: The connectors, the grid and EPS ports are different; ensure you wire up the correct one. Ensure you are always using an AC breaker to protect the cables running to the grid and EPS ports.
