- Page 4 GWB21 APPLICATION: A scorcher is a tool that can be used to exterminate weeds on non- combustible surfaces. It is effective on stone, paths, kerbs, pavements, concrete driveways and foundations. It works by applying high temperatures to the surface of the weed to destroy it. Its operation is based on propane gas power, allowing it to work in areas where other energy sources are lacking.
