    Before you go camping Introduction Now that you are in possession of an Alpenkreuzer trailer tent, it is very important to check and prepare everything thoroughly before you go on holiday. This will ensure you have an optimal and trouble-free holiday.

    2. Driving with an Alpenkreuzer Packing Packing the Campfire is very easy via the Easy-to-Store System (E2S). This allows you to access the luggage compartment without unfolding tent trailer without getting tent fabric wet. How a folding trailer is loaded affects its handling.

    DRIVING WITH AN ALPENKREUZER Breakaway brake system An Alpenkreuzer trailer tent is equipped with a breakaway brake system as standard.     DRIVING WITH AN ALPENKREUZER Safety A number of rules also apply when driving with a trailer tent. Keep a sufficient distance. Do not drive too close to the vehicle in front. With a tent trailer behind the car, the braking distance is much longer. Drivers are responsible for upholding the laws and regulations concerning driving with a trailer in the country inwhich they travel.

    3. Pitch up and pack away Levelling First make sure the trailer tent is level in width. If the pitch has too large a gradient, you may need to place a board under a wheel. Then you can use the nose wheel to level the lengthwise.

    Pack away Remove all pegs and storm straps. 2. Remove the front frame arch from the canopy of the OpenAir 3. Unzip the roof of the sleeping tent to about halfway up the trailer. This reduces the tension of the canvas at the back of the trailer.

Regular maintenance or at least checking the condition of vital parts (including brakes, axle and tyres) is very important for road safety.

You can remove residues very carefully with a spoon, being careful not to damage the tent fabric. Preferably do not camp under resin-dripping trees; resin damages the tent fabric!     All about zips Alpenkreuzer only uses top quality zips in its trailer tents. The durability of zips often depends on how they are handled. Always try to open and close the zips with two hands as much as possible.

    ACCESSORiES Sun canopy The Sun canopy for the Alpenkreuzer OpenAir creates the perfect spot to enjoy nature. It protects you from the sun, wind and rain. Electric air pump DeLuxe make pitching OpenAir even easier with electric pump. This pump can be set to the right air pressure so that it turns off when this is prepared.
