The Midland BT Remote can be mounted to the handlebar of your motorcycle and control all the functions of your BT intercom devices.
Ensure the BT Remote is fully charged before use Charge the unit by inserting the mini USB cable in the charging plug (lift the rubber cover to insert the plug) You can use any USB wall charger or use the USB port of your PC The red LED light will turn on during charging When the unit is fully charged, the red LED light will turn off
Please note: Every time the mini USB charging plug is inserted (or detached), the device is automatically turned off To use the BT Remote while it is charging, you should turn the device on when the plug is already inserted
Low battery indication
If the red LED is flashing and the unit is not plugged into a charger, it means the battery is low Please recharge the unit as soon as possible
BT Remote description
The BT Remote has five buttons on the front; the three main buttons are multi function buttons: the "Forward" button(on the top), the "Middle" button and the "Back" button(on the bottom) The two small rounded buttons on the front are the "Volume +" and "Volume -"
Mounting system description
The Midland BT Remote is easy to mount, just open and place it on the handle of your motorcycle Close until it is firmly secured to the handle To remove it, lift the lock point to open it
In the box you will find two additional sized rubber spacers to use if your handle bar has a different size
Turning the unit on:
Press and hold the "Middle" button for 3 seconds until the LED indicator turns blue
Turning the unit off:
Press and hold the "Middle" and "Back" buttons together for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red 3 times
The Midland BT Remote duplicates the same exact functions as the 5 buttons available on the BT intercom units, therefore you can refer to the intercom manual
The Midland BT Remote can be paired to any Midland BT intercom unit
First time pairing
The BT Remote is ready to be paired right out of the box:
The two devices will search for each other and will automatically pair Once the pairing procedure is completed, it does not need to be repeated again If the pairing procedure fails, repeat the procedure again If the pairing still does not work, perform the pairing reset procedure (see the "Reset the pairing" paragraph) and then repeat the "First time pairing" procedure
Using the BT Remote
To use the BT Remote, switch it on and press any button (make sure your Midland intercom is on) to ensure connection As soon as the blue LED starts double flashing, you can begin using your BT Remote
Reset the pairing
You may find it necessary to delete all paired devices stored in the BT Remote:
