- Page 2 Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of a Bauman Sidewalk Sander. This sander has been designed and manufactured to enable operators to carry out their work safetly and efficiently. The Bauman Sidewalk Sander has been designed for spreading sand, salt, grit or similar material and should only be used for this purpose.
- Page 3 General Information About The Bauman Sidewalk Sander The operator must read and understand all of the information in this manual to ensure they service and operate the machine correctly and thus avoid unnecessary risk of accidents and breakdowns. Always: Stop the tractor engine before you adjust, lubricate, or repair the machine.

Maintenance Warning: When repairing, maintaining and cleaning the machine, it is particularly important to be aware of safety precautions. Therefore always park tractor (if connected) and machine as a precautionary measure. Always disconnect power when servicing. Never try to clean, lubricate or adjust the machine before the tractor engine has been stopped and the parking brake activated. - Page 5 Improper connection may cause damage the machine if the oil runs in the wrong direction. Several mounting options are available from Bauman Manufacturing. Hydraulic hoses are not supplied by the manufacturer. Adjustment of Spreading Quantity The spring bottom tension is adjusted with the handle on the left side of the machine.
