Operating Instructions
Proper care of your new light is essential in order to get a long dependable life of service. Please take some time to review this instruction sheet
before using your new flashlight.
The flashlight comes with either a standard alkaline battery tray (6 AA cells not included) or a rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack. No charger is
needed for the alkaline battery pack. The alkaline batteries supply 15 hours of continuous runtime, and the Li-Ion battery pack provides 4 hours
of continuous runtime with a 5 hour charge. Either battery pack can be used with the flashlight, please note the differences in certifications for
each battery pack.
ALKALINE VERSION INSTRUCTIONS: The alkaline battery pack accommodates (6) AA batteries as show in Figure 1.
To access the tray, remove the two screws on the bottom of the flashlight as shown in Figure 2 (the screws will remain with the bottom cover).
Pull out the battery tray and holding the bottom of the tray, slide the top cover back, as shown in Figure 3.
Insert the batteries as shown in Figure 1, and slide the top tray closed. Insert the battery tray into the flashlight with the arrow pointing towards
the opening.
Re-attach bottom cover and tighten screws to maintain the waterproof rating of the light. Your new light is ready use.
LI-ION VERSION INSTRUCTIONS:
In order to get the longest runtime out of your new flashlight, the unit must be fully charged before its first use (if using the Li-Ion
battery pack).
The rechargeable battery pack inside the Responder Right Angle LED is designed to be charged inside the flashlight. Removing the Li-Ion
battery pack from the light is not necessary. Simply slide the light down on the charger base until the light snaps in place. The light is held firmly
in place.
Once the flashlight is in the charging base, the charging indicator on the front of the light will turn RED, indicating the unit is charging. In order to
get the longest runtime out of your Responder Right Angle LED, leave the flashlight on the charger until the charging indicator turns green.

Once the charging indicator has turned green and you are ready to use the flashlight, remove the light from the base by pressing the latch behind
the light and simultaneously pulling the light upward as indicated in Figure 6 . Once the light has moved upward approximately ¼", the latch can
be released and the light can be safely removed.
Alkaline and LI-ION Version Operation:
A push-button switch on the side of the flashlight near the top, shown in Figure 7, turns the light on and off. A coat/belt clip and a D-ring allow for
hands-free operation.

Do not submerge the charger base in water. Unplug the charger base before attempting any cleaning.

Do not clean the flashlight with harsh chemicals, use only mild detergent and water.

Do not dispose of the Li-Ion battery pack in fire, the battery may cause serious injuries

Use of this product for any other purpose than a flashlight is prohibited.

Limited Lifetime Warranty: The Responder Right Angle LED and all internal parts have a lifetime-limited warranty from date of purchase.
Should your unit fail to operate for any reason, contact KBS Innovations Service department for further information at 570-825-1900. Koehler
Bright Star will repair or replace the warranted defective parts at the discretion of KBS Innovations without cost to you and return the unit.
The rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack and charger base are warranted for a period of one year in accordance with the terms above. This warranty
does not apply to misuse or abuse.

La lampe torche est fournie avec un support de piles alcalines standard (6 piles AA non incluses) ou bien avec un bloc-piles rechargeable au Li-
ion. Aucun chargeur n'est nécessaire pour le bloc-piles alcalines. Les piles alcalines assurent 10 heures de fonctionnement continu, et le bloc-
piles au Li-ion fournit 4 heures de fonctionnement continu avec un temps de chargement de 4 heures. La lampe torche fonctionne avec n'importe
quelle version de piles; veuillez noter les différences dans la certification de chaque version.
INSTRUCTIONS POUR LA VERSION ALCALINE:
Le bloc-piles alcalines se compose de (6) piles AA, comme le montre la figure la 1.
Pour accéder au support, retirez les deux vis sur la base de la lampe torche, tel qu'il est montré dans la figure 2 (les vis resteront avec le
couvercle inférieur).
Retirez le support de batterie et faites glisser le couvercle vers l'arrière, tout en maintenant le bas du support, comme illustré dans la figure 3.
Insérez les piles, comme illustré dans la figure 1, et faites glisser le couvercle pour fermer le support. Insérez le support de batterie dans la
lampe torche avec la flèche pointant vers l'ouverture.
Replacez le couvercle inférieur et serrez les vis pour maintenir l'étanchéité à l'eau de la lampe. Votre nouvelle lampe est prête à être utilisée.
