CPI ACM-852 Quick Start Manual

Installation:
Make sure pump is turned OFF.
1. Remove the multiport cover from the filter tank.
2. For tanks previously filled with another medium: Empty the
tank (follow filter tank instructions). Remove, clean, and
inspect the standpipe and laterals for damage. Put the
standpipe and laterals back into the tank and center in the
opening.
3. Cover the opening of the standpipe with duct tape to
prevent balls from falling into the pipe.
4. Add the Filtraballs. Each box (700g / 1.5 lbs) is equivalent to
one sandbag (22,5kg / 50 lbs). Once filled, the Filtraballs
should occupy approximately 2/3 of the tank.
5. Remove duct tape from standpipe. Reinstall the multiport
cover on the filter tank.
6. Turn the pump ON in "filtration" mode and prime the pump.
Caution:
• DO NOT USE CLARIFIER, PHOSPHATE REMOVER,
FLOCCULANT, ALUM OR ANY OTHER PRODUCT THAT
MAY DAMAGE THE FILTRABALLS. The use of these
products could damage your filter and void any warranty.
• Do not add chemicals directly into the skimmer. Always
dissolve and mix chemicals in water before adding them
to the pool.
• NO NEED TO BACKWASH UNLESS TANK'S PRESSURE
GAUGE REACHES 25 PSI.
• If your filter is older than 5 years. It is strongly recommended
to replace the standpipe and laterals.
• Advise the water analysis center that your filter is equipped
with Filtraballs when having water tests done.

Maintenance:
Opening the pool:
• In the spring or when a large amount of debris is at the bottom
of the pool, vacuum on "Drain" setting to to avoid unnecessary
filtering by the Filtraballs.
To clean the Filtraballs:
A. Remove the Filtraballs from the tank.
B. Place the Filtraballs in a suitably sized container.
C. Add the water and cartridge cleaning solution (follow the
instructions on the bottle regarding the amount required and
duration of soaking).
D. Blot the balls to remove excess water and let them dry in the
sun.
Closing the pool:
• Remove the plug at the bottom of the tank and let the tank
drain. DO NOT REPLACE THE CAP.
• Filtraballs can remain in the tank during the winter.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY REDUCE
THE FILTRATION CAPACITY OF THE FILTRABALLS AND COULD
DAMAGE THE INTERIOR OF YOUR FILTRATION SYSTEM AND
VOID ANY WARRANTY.
If you have a Jacuzzi brand Lazer 250 filter, make sure the filter
head assembly is properly fitted. If in doubt, call a professional
service technician.
