NOTES: Please check for any damage caused by the shipping company and take appropriate steps
to file a claim, if needed.
*Please call Digsafe and check for any underground utilities before digging anywhere.
Materials needed
Cordless driver, star drive bit, speed square, phillips head bit, post hole digger, shovel, level, tape
measure, 2 pieces of 6' long strapping, 2 pointed stakes, 4 sheetrock screws, 50 lb. bags of fast
setting concrete (not provided).
1. Move post and table top near desired installation location.
2. Slide top onto post and use speed square to make sure post is perpendicular to table. Make sure to adjust
angle braces until angles match the post faces. Then using screws provided, attach angle braces to the
table top ONLY (see image), and remove the post. If you don't do this, making this attachment after the table
is mounted close to the ground, you won't be able to reach in under the table to do it.
3. Mark the location of the post and dig post hole, using post hole digger (approximately 24-48" deep). Table is
intended to be at least 12" above surface, but adjust as necessary for the age group, and cut post as
needed.
4. Using the hand tamp, compact any loose material at the bottom of the hole.
5. Test fit the Collection Table post in the post hole and make any adjustments to the hole location and the
length of the post so the post is at the appropriate height and surrounded by equal amounts of concrete
when poured. Post are left intentionally long for areas that they need to extend below a frost depth.
*Note: If you encounter immovable objects the legs can be trimmed so the grade marks on the
legs end up at finished grade.
6. Fill the bottom 6" of hole with drainage stone. Then lift Collection Table post and set bottom of post into
post hole so grade mark is at grade. Again, trim the bottom of the post if necessary
7. Using a bubble level, plumb the Collection Table post in both directions by placing the level on two adjacent
sides of each post. Once the post is plumb, it is optional to hold this positioning by using strapping and
stakes, but it is not required.
8. Holding the Collection Table post upright by hand or with strapping, fill 1/4 of the hole with fast setting
concrete mix and add water per instructions on bag. Recheck to make sure Collection Table is level and
plum, and make any adjustments.
9. Fill the rest of the hole with concrete per instructions on bag, stopping four inches below the grade line
marked on the musical fence posts. Recheck to make sure Collection Table is level and plumb periodically
while concrete cures. Let cure for 24 hours.
10. Backfill hole and hand tamp good draining soil firmly to 3" below finished grade. Install top soil to finish
grade and plant grass to fill in around hole.
