  • Page 17: General Information

The AV-112AH-PS can drive resistive loads with impedances of 1.2 kilohms and higher. At reduced frequencies, the AV-112AH-PS can also drive a capacitive load of up to 10000 pF. The reduced maximum frequencies and increased rise times are outlined in...
  • Page 18: Cable Lengths

CABLE LENGTHS The length of cable used to connect the load to the output of the function generator should be less than 3 feet (1 meter), and ideally less than 18 inches (0.5 meters). At longer lengths, the transmission line reflections caused by the cabling will distort the output signal, particularly if the signals with fast rise times are used.

    2) Set the signal generator to produce a ±2V, 25 kHz waveform. (The input impedance of the AV-112AH-PS is 1 kΩ). Connect a cable from the SYNC connector of the signal generator to the TRIG input of an oscilloscope. Set the oscilloscope to trigger externally.
  • Page 20 4) Connect one oscilloscope probe (channel B) to the 1.2 kΩ load. On the oscilloscope, set the channel A vertical scale to 100 V/div, and the horizontal scale to 20 us/div. 5) Set the gain control to minimum (0.0). Turn on the amplifier and the signal generator.
