handle to control the saw. Maintain a stable stance
and a firm grip on the handles at all times, beware
of kickback. This happens when the saw begins to stall
rapidly and is driven back towards the operator.
Because trimsaws cut on the "up stroke", the uppermost
face of the workpiece may be marred by chipping or
splintering. For best results, saw with the work face
down.
Never force the saw through the work. If it jams in
the cut, switch off, free it and check the blade for
damage before going on.
EQUIPMENT CARE
Run the battery down completely before re-
charging.
Never push the equipment beyond its design
limits. If it will not do what you want with reasonable
ease, assume you have the wrong tool for the job. Ask at
your local HSS Hire Shop for advice.
Handle the equipment with care. Avoid dropping it,
knocking it, or otherwise exposing it to damage.
Never expose the equipment to excessive
moisture, dust or dangerous/corrosive chemicals.
Do not attempt to use the tool if the battery is
damaged. Do not recharge damaged batteries.
Never work with a blunt or dirty blade. It not only
produces poor work but could overload the saw' s motor.
Never saw through timber containing nails, screws
and other obstacles. It is dangerous and will damage
the saw.
Keep the equipment clean. You will find this less of a
chore if you clean up regularly rather than wait until the
end of the hire period.
When not in use, store the equipment within its
carry case in a clean and dry environment, safe
from thieves.
