BACnet 4M230.8I AP 2 Safety instructions We have developed and tested the BACnet sun shading actuators in compli- ance with the basic safety requirements. Residual risks nevertheless remain. For this reason, please read this manual before commissioning and operat- ing the control. It is very important that you adhere to the safety instructions listed in this section and the warnings contained in this manual.

Description 3 Description The actuator controls 4 drives for venetian blinds. There are several possi- bilities for control, which have different priority and are listed in the following chapters. The priorities are, from highest to lowest: Safety run Internal push buttons Calibration Inputs for external push buttons Move commands...

Safety run/ BACnet 4M230.8I AP Calibration 4.1 Special function: Motor grouping This function applies to the external buttons, where one button controls sev- eral motors or several buttons control one motor, or a combination thereof. It works just like an electrical parallel connection of one button to several inputs or several buttons to one input.

Move commands 5 Safety run The activation via binary value object Safety_run applies to all 4 drives to- gether. The actuator switches all drives to move to their upper limit positions for their parameterised run time (analogue value Run_time_UP_N). The binary value remains active after this.

Setpoint position BACnet 4M230.8I AP 7 Move commands The following move commands can be given with the multi-state value Blind_N. OFF state command = 1 No move command is active. This is also true once control is carried out with a higher priority. STOP state command = 2 The current move command is stopped, specifically also a run to the setpoint position.

Control 8 Setpoint position Moving to a setpoint position occurs when writing the analogue values Blind_ length_N and Slat_position_N. The drive's run times are determined with the help of the parameterised values. Run_time_DOWN_N → = 90 s → (Total run time downwards) Slat_min_angle_N →...

Movement BACnet 4M230.8I AP 9 Control with multiple steps The control options presented in the previous chapters lead to short pro- grammes for the movement that are processed step by step. Whenever a new programme is activated, the previous one is deleted, i.e. cancelled, be- forehand.

Configuration file 11 Reporting movement, position and angle The binary value Blind_N_in_motion reports whether the drive is in motion or not. The analogue values Blind_lengthFB_N and Slat_positionFB_N report the current position in percent and the current slat angle in degrees. They have already been mentioned above in the preparation of the control programmes.
