1 INTRODUCTION Connectivity Pack IV enables sending of result data from the archive of the m- PIMA™ Analyser to a defined remote server using a mobile network modem connected to an m-PIMA™ Analyser via USB port. Safety Warnings Connectivity Pack IV utilize the GSM standard for cellular technology. GSM is an internationally established standard for radio communication. The modems are actually low power radio transmitters and receivers, similar to GSM cellular phones. Most electronic equipment, for example in hospitals and motor vehicles is shielded from radio frequency energy.

2 GETTING STARTED Setting up the Mobile Network Connection Note: In order to set up a network connection between the m-PIMA™ Analyser and a remote server the analyzer needs to be configured. Please see section 4 for further details. Two simple steps are required to establish network connection: 1) inserting a SIM card with an active account from a mobile network provider into the modem and 2) connect the modem to the configured m-PIMA™...

4 CONFIGURATION Every m-PIMA™ Analyser needs to be specifically configured in order to communicate with the remote server. Configuration needs to be performed by or in collaboration with the remote service provider. Manual Settings The option «Manual Settings» must only be used on advice by Technical Support or in collaboration with the FTP service provider.

5 ERROR MESSAGES & TECHNICAL SUPPORT Error Screens The following error screens may appear during data transfer or uploading of the configuration file. Error Messages When carrying out a connectivity check the m-PIMA™ Analyser performs a series of checks to ensure that all steps of the process are completed successfully. Should one of these checks discover an error, one of the following error messages may appear in the bottom line of the «Connectivity Check» screen. Please follow the suggested action to resolve the problem.
