SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Category III Personal Protective Equipment 9T0.064 COMPACT (fi g. 1)
is a sit harness:
- equipped with a ventral attachment point (E) composed by two
webbing loops;
- certifi ed according to EN 12277:2015+A1:2018 type C;
- conforming to UIAA 105;
- suitable for use in mountaineering, including rock climbing, and for
supporting a conscious body in a sitting position;
- to be used in prevention and protection against fall from a height.
D
Wearing
- Loosen the adjustment straps on the belt (A) and leg loops (B);
H
- thread the legs through the belt (A) and leg loops (B) – (fi g. 2);
- tighten the adjustment straps on the belt (A) and leg loops (B);
- lock the belt webbing back into the buckle (D), ensuring that the
"DANGER" writing remains covered (fi g. 2);
- it is possible to join the two webbing loops of the ventral attachment
point (E) with a quick link (fi g. 3).
How to attach the rope clamp: connect the rope clamp to the harness
using the quick link and support it through the webbing (G) – (fi g. 4).
Note: The upper part of the harness facilitates the positioning of the
ventral rope clamps; when not in use can be removed by pulling out the
webbing from the rear buckle (I).
Important:
- the belt (A) should be always above the waist. The user should be
able to shove 2 fi ngers between the harness and the body (fi g. 5);
- before using the harness, in an absolutely safe position, carry
out movements and suspension tests to ensure that it is correctly
adjusted and comfortable for the intended use;
- check the buckles regularly during use.
Use
The ventral attachment point (E), suitable for use in mountaineering
including climbing (fi g. 6, 7 and 8), is composed by two webbing loops
that must be used together.
Tie a fi gure-of-eight knot at the attachment point (fi g. 9).
Important: Regularly check the knot closure.
It is also possible to connect to the ventral attachment point using two
connectors with screw sleeves positioned opposite each other (fi g. 10).
Caution: do not tie on using only one connector (fi g. 11).
Compatibility
This device is designed to be used with:
- ropes according to EN 892, EN 1891;
- slings according to EN 566;
- connectors according to EN 362, EN 12275;
- energy absorbers according to EN 958.
Caution, danger of death:
- prolonged suspension on the harness, especially in motionless
conditions, may cause harness hang syndrome (or suspension
trauma) that can lead to loss of consciousness and even death;
- the ventral attachment point (E) is not suitable for creating a fall arrest
system;
- examples of incorrect and dangerous tying (fi g. 12).
Checks before and after use
Before and after use, make sure that the device is in an effi cient
condition and that it is working properly, in particular, check that:

hair, wear, in particular check the areas in contact with metal
components (buckles, attachment point, etc.);
- stitching is intact, and there are no cut or loose threads;
- metal parts are free of cracks, corrosion, mechanical deformation
and that any wear and tear is only of an aesthetic nature;
- buckles work correctly (adjusting, closing and locking);
- markings, including labels, are legible.
