    Introduction Foreword You made a good choice in buying your Taito. This manual aims to inform you about the operation and maintenance of your new Taito. Your Taito was assembled and delivered ready to use. If not, contact your Taitodealer. This manual is not intended to teach you how to assemble or repair the Taito yourself.

    Intended use The Taito is a means of transport for one person. The scooter should only be used by adult drivers who have the required driving competence. Respect the minimum age limit applicable in your country.

    Taito S1 Procedure The operation of the Taito The product is an electric scooter equipped with a powerful battery that drives the wheel hub motor in the rear wheel. Speed can be contrlled with a throttle handle. At the front, a manoeuvrable suspension system with 2 front wheels is provided that can be operated via the handlebars.

  • Page 20 WARNING The Taito is meant for recreation. But in a public area, it is considered a vehicle, with all the risks that vehicles involve. For your own safety, follow the instructions in the manual and the traic laws and regulations as set out by government and regulatory authorities.

    WARNING Don't lend your Taito to people who don't know how it works. When lending it to your friends, make sure they know how it works and that they wear suitable safety equipment.

    Storage and transport Storing the Taito If you do not use the Taito for a long time and want to store it to use again later, recharge the scooter's battery every 3 months. When not in use, store the Taito indoors in a dry, cool place. Do not put the Taito outdoors for long periods of time.

    First use First use Please read all warnings and guidelines in this manual before using the Taito. If you still have questions after reading this documentation, be sure to contact your Taitodealer. 2. Fully charge the battery (the charging method is irrelevant here).

    Name Explanation Light sensor The light sensor determines when the lights of the Taito come on, if set to automatic in the app. Battery indicator If one LED is lit, the battery is 20% charged. If two LEDs are lit, the battery is 40% charged.

    2. Press the locking mechanism (1) to release the stem from the rear mudguard. 3. Straighten the stem. 4. Hold the Taito with one hand by the stem so that the stem does not fall down when you operate the release lever.

    Your Taito is now unlocked. Activate the Taito You can set what is allowed in the Taitoapp after the Taito is switched on. For example, you can set that the Taito can be used without having to pair a smartphone.

The brake can get hot. Do not touch the brake after use. The brake lever is located on the left side of the handlebars and with it you activate the disc brake on the rear wheel.

On the handlebars, press the button with the left arrow (3) to operate the left direction indicator (4). 2.     To keep an eye on your speed and battery level while driving, you can use your smartphone as a display. CAUTION Never operate your smartphone while driving. Mount your smartphone. During charging, the LEDs (2) light up as an animation by lighting up from bottom to top. The animation of the LEDs stops when the battery is fully charged and thus all LEDs remain lit.
