    Laser Safety and Blackout Valances Chapter 1: Safety Information Chapter 1 Safety Information For the continuing safety of the operators of this equipment, and the protection of the equipment itself, the operator should take note of the Warnings, Cautions and Notes throughout this handbook and, where visible, on the product itself.

    The laser safety and blackout valances have been designed as a basic overlapping valances to provide partial blackout and cover any gaps near the ceiling. They are compatible with Thorlabs curtain systems (LPC series and BKC series). Installation is easy including retrofit to existing systems. The rigid bar in the valance panels can be bent and then straightened again after some time if required which makes it suitable for use in curved tracks.

The unit is designed for indoor use only. To ensure reliable operation, the unit should not be exposed to corrosive agents or excessive moisture, heat, or dust.

    Laser Safety and Blackout Valances Chapter 3: Installation 3.2.2 Steps to Attach Valance Mounting Clip to the Curtain Track Perform the following installation steps: 1. Insert two T-nuts into the side channel of the curtain track from the end of the groove or by pressing it gently into the track as per the user’s accessibility.

Align the large holes at the back of the mounting clip with the screw heads. Push the clip against the track and slide downwards to hook it over the screw heads.

Insert two T-nuts into the side channel of the curtain track with the help of a hex key from the end of the groove or by pressing it gently into the rail as per the user’s accessibility.

Use the included 2.5 mm hex key to insert the M4 screws through the slots in front of the clip and screw them into the T-nuts to secure the clip. Push the clamp base plate into one half of the clamp body and position the two halves of the clamp body around the ceiling rod.

Figure 11 Tighten Screw with Hex Key Note Repeat the steps for each clip installation around the curtain systems. It is recommended to use 2 clips to support each panel.
