2. Inspect the vehicle power steering hoses for any leaks and start the engine to determine that the power steering system is in good condition. 3. Let the vehicle idle in park with the hand brake engaged. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right and then all the way to the left.. - Page 12 2. The old dark red or black power steering fluid will be vacuumed out of the reservoir and begin flowing through Old Fluid Tube (#10B) to Old Power Steering Fluid Tank 1 (#12).
