     Do not reach into or touch the VBK STS sheeting system while it is operating or is enabled. Even if the machine is not in use, it may be “enabled” (depending on how the drive version). Maintain an appropriate distance.

    In addition, the VBK STS sheeting system must have the following special safety measures:  The button must be pressed and held down for each movement of the VBK STS sheeting system. Movement must stop immediately when the button is released.

    The VBK STS sheeting system uses large current. This can cause cables and connectors to become hot. Do not touch cables and connectors until the system has been idle for a while. The VBK STS sheeting system is not resistant to lighting strikes. Do not use the VBK STS sheeting system thunderstorms.

     Check that the height and width of the location allow sufficient space for the movement of VBK STS sheeting system.  Check that no load is protruding that could restrict the movement of the VBK STS sheeting system. Remove any protruding load if necessary.

    Adjusting Different types of loads or conditions can cause the system to behave differently. For this reason, VBK Covering has created versatile systems. If necessary, the spring tension in the system can be adjusted to optimise the functionality of the system.

  • Page 24: Cleaning

    Be aware of electrical contacts. They can cause electric shock.  When the VBK STS sheeting system is cleaned with a pressure washer or with a normal jet of water, avoid spraying the bearings, the electrical installation and the switch panels. These parts are only splash-proof.

General maintenance regulations Similar to all industrial machines and installations, routine inspections and maintenance should be performed regularly.

    5.2.1 Specific information when maintaining electrical components Work on or with the electrical system may only be performed by VBK Covering B.V. and/or by suitably qualified and trained personnel. Always disconnect the power source from the machine when working on the electrical system.

    This seriously reduces the service life of the sheet. Disposal If the VBK STS sheeting system is removed, observe the waste disposal and processing regulations applicable at the place and time of removing the system. Widely known materials have been used in the machine.

Working of the wireless remote control Check if the handheld remote control is working by seeing if the control LED is lit. If you press the ON button to switch on the handheld remote control, a green LED will light up on the hand-held to indicate that it is on.

This LED indicates the status of the sheeting system by flashing. If the LED does not flash, the system is working normally. If the LED flashes, there is a problem with the system.
