24167 – K-KOMPRESS-4/8 Operating Instructions and Precautions
The Kodiak KOMPRESS is a rechargeable pop up lantern providing up to 2500 max lumens of
brightness. It's built-in power bank can also charge your smartphone. It is weather and water
resistant but not waterproof. It cannot be submerged in water.
CHARGING/RECHARGING: Please charge the KOMPRESS fully before first use. Plug the large
connector of the included USB charging cable into any USB power source such as a power cube,
laptop or car charger. Remove the cover over the charging ports and plug the small end of the
charging cable into the charging port. A red flashing light indicates charging is underway. The
light will change to solid red when the KOMPRESS is fully charged. Replace the port cover.
OPERATION: The KOMPRESS may be operated with the flexible silicone lantern hood collapsed
(spotlight mode), partially extended (spotlight-lantern mode) or fully extended (lantern mode).
To extend the lantern, pull up from the hanging loop in the center of the silicone hood. To
collapse it, push down from the top of the hood until it folds back into the base.
Pressing the power button repeatedly cycles between 3 white light modes, 1 amber light mode
and off.
USING THE LANTERN: Pull the retractable hook up from the bottom of the KOMPRESS to hang
or carry the lantern. You may also use this hook as a kickstand on a flat level surface.
CHARGING A SMARTPHONE: Remove the port cover. Using your own phone charging cable,
plug the large end into the USB port on the KOMPRESS and the small end into your phone or
tablet. Remove the cable when charging is finished. Replace the port cover. The USB Type A
output is compatible with most devices.
