Thank you for purchasing the
designed for
ANAFI/USA with the SKYCONTROLLER 3 (MPP3)!
Installing the 4Hawks Raptor antenna requires to modify the controller by removing the factory antenna modules out from it,
and connecting the antenna cables to the transmitter's PCB.
Please note! The installation will involve both opening the controller housing and drilling three holes on its top panel (needed
for inserting the antenna cables and fixing the antenna).
Before modifying, read this pictorial installation guide, and make sure you have the right tools and time to convert.
Let's start!

Installing the 4Hawks Raptor antenna requires to modify the controller by removing the factory antenna modules out from it, and connecting the antenna cables to the transmitter's PCB. Please note! The installation will involve both opening the controller housing and drilling three holes on its top panel (needed for inserting the antenna cables and fixing the antenna).
  • Page 2 STEP 2 Open the housing and disconnect the controller battery. STEP 3 Flip the controller over and gently pry the corners of the rubber cover off the bar (watch out, it's glued to the case).
  • Page 3 STEP 4 Remove the rubber cap exposing the 4 mounting screws. STEP 5 Unscrew the 4 screws securing the bar.
  • Page 4 STEP 6 Remove the plastic bar cover. STEP 7 Remove the screws (2) securing the antenna module.
  • Page 5 STEP 8 Use the pliers to pry and remove the tension spring from the hook. STEP 9 Remove any excess glue that secures the antenna cables and gently remove them out of the guides.
  • Page 6 STEP 10 Gently remove the guide bar of the antenna module from the housing. Be careful not to jerk the cables out! STEP 11 Gently disconnect the U.FL connectors out from the controller's PCB.
  • Page 7 STEP 12 Gently lead the two disconnected antenna cables upwards. STEP 13 Remove the two screws securing the top controller panel.
  • Page 8 STEP 14 Remove the top panel and put it in a safe place. For convenience, you can also remove the two camera buttons on the left and right side. STEP 15 Lead the antenna wires one by one through the small hole in controller frame.
  • Page 9 STEP 16 Route the cables outside and separate the transmitter body from the antenna module. STEP 17 Using soft plastic tools, separate the tabs that connect the two halves of the antenna module.
  • Page 10 STEP 18 Be very careful when separating the two halves of the slide bar - there are two hooks that holds the two elements together quite tightly. STEP 19 After opening the antenna module - remove the holding frame from the center, and both the "L" and "R" antennas with their screens and cables.
  • Page 11 STEP 20 It's time to install the Raptor antenna. Prepare the metal plate found in antenna box and the antenna module cover. The plate is profiled in a way that it fits perfectly into the recess on the inner side of the cover from the antenna module - put it there now - it will serve as a positioning marker to mark the places for drilling holes.
  • Page 12 STEP 22 Alternatively, you can also use a ceramic drill bit to enlarge / widen the holes conveniently. STEP 23 The wood drill bit also works well - you can eliminate any residual material around the perimeter of the drilled hole easily.
  • Page 13 STEP 24 The photo shows the correctly placed positioning plate on the inner side of the antenna module, where the 3 holes have already been drilled. STEP 25 Make sure that the second plate attached to the set is placed on the antenna in the way shown in the attached photo.
  • Page 14 STEP 26 Pass the two antenna cables from the antenna through the drilled (middle) hole in the top cover. Remember to keep the proper orientation of the plates towards each other! (rounded side down). STEP 27 Push down the top cover with the plate through the two mounting threads protruding from the antenna. Also, gently pull both antenna cables all the way - so that they do not wrap themselves between the housing and the metal plate on the antenna.
  • Page 15 STEP 28 Using the included knurled nuts, lock the top cover of the antenna module (firmly, until it stops) so that it is pressed on both sides by the profiled plates. STEP 29 Properly attached antenna module housing should be rigidly attached to the antenna.
  • Page 16 STEP 30 Fit the two halves of the antenna module housing - make sure you attach them in the right direction! STEP 31 Remember to pass the antenna cables through the two grooved conduit channels when joining the two halves of the enclosure together.
  • Page 17 STEP 32 Connect the two halves of the antenna module together - the latches should "click" loudly together. After joining, there should be no gaps at any point. The easiest way to connect the two halves is by placing the antenna on a flat surface (as shown in the photo) and pressing the bottom half down.
  • Page 18 STEP 34 Now we need to put two antenna wires from the Raptor antenna into controller. Use the same opening hole where the original cables were removed previously. STEP 35 Lead the wires through the hole on the other side of the controller.
  • Page 19 STEP 36 Pull both wires only the distance you need to reach the U.FL sockets on the controller. On this (inner) side, there should be no loose on the cables. STEP 37 Attach the U.FL connectors to the U.FL sockets on the main board. Use metal guides to route the wires along the board in an orderly manner.
  • Page 20 STEP 38 If you removed the buttons on the left and right side before - put them on now. STEP 39 Place the top controller panel in its place. Pay attention to fit it well - its outer flange should be placed under the edge of the front housing.
  • Page 21 STEP 40 If the top panel is in place and the buttons are responding correctly - tighten the two screws securing the top panel to the controller frame. STEP 41 Push up the excess cable inside the two channels in the antenna module strip. When connecting the bar to the main body of the controller later, both wires should be fully inserted in their channels.
  • Page 22 STEP 42 Before connecting the antenna module with the controller, fix the antenna cables in the guides in such a way that they are firmly fixed in their place. In case if you'll find it difficult to do - you can use the hot glue to keep them fixed. STEP 43 Insert the channel module with spring and hidden cables into the guide brackets protruding from the controller body as shown in the photo.
  • Page 23 STEP 44 Pull the eye of the spring on the hook. STEP 45 Check if the bar is firmly in its place and that the cables are locked in their guides.
  • Page 24 STEP 46 Cover the bar with previously removed flap. STEP 47 Screw the flap with 4 fixing screws.
  • Page 25 STEP 48 Put on the sticker covering the screws on the flap. STEP 49 Check if the antenna module is properly popping up, and that the spring inside provides proper resistance when extending.
  • Page 26 STEP 50 Reconnect the battery to the PCB. Caution! While the antenna module is pulled upwards, the controller will turn on immediately after connecting the battery cable (LED should start flashing) STEP 51 Screw the back cover of the controller with the 6 fixing screws. Check if the antenna module is folding properly up and down.
