    5 . 2 Operating the Braked Castors The castors on the shower cradle are individually braked using your foot. Make sure appropriate footwear is worn when using this product. Do not try to push the product when the castor brakes are activated. To activate the brake, place your foot on the red section of the castor and push down, as shown below in Fig 5.2-1.

    Daily Checks Inspection is to be completed prior to each use by the user of the shower cradle. Should any of the components in the table below fail the inspection, DO NOT use the shower cradle. Contact your local authorised dealer for service – contact details are on the last page of this manual. Ensure all component inspections in the table below are completed prior to each use of the shower cradle.

    Cleaning To reduce the risk of cross-contamination it is recommended to clean the shower cradle and accessories before use by a different person. Please follow the recommended cleaning guidelines below on cleaning and disinfecting the shower cradle. 9 . 1 Metal Frame Cleaning The metal frames of the chairs are powder-coated with a coating containing a silver anti-microbial additive.

    9 . 3 Disinfecting (if necessary) Should the shower cradle require a more thorough cleaning, the use of the Actichlor™ disinfectant product (which is widely available in tablet form and used throughout the healthcare industry) is recommended. Follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions for the use of this cleaning product before use to ensure safe use for the operator and the user.
