A hose that attaches to a spray wand can burst if it is installed on the same water line as the dishwasher.
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
Unpacking the Dishwasher
Use at least two people to move and install the dishwasher to prevent back and other types of injuries. Carefully remove the packaging materials. Remove any shipping tape and glue from your dishwasher before using. Do not use sharp instruments, rubbing alcohol, flammable fluids, or abrasive cleaners to remove tape or glue. These products can damage the surface of your dishwasher. Check to make sure the parts necessary for installation are included. If any parts are missing, please contact our customer service team. Put the dishwasher on a level and flat surface that is able to support the entire weight of the dishwasher fully loaded.
Installation Requirements
The dishwasher is designed for a countertop installation. Please follow the instructions for clearance, water and electrical requirements.
Clearance Requirements
The minimum height clearance required to install your dishwasher on a counter top surface with overhead cupboards is 45cm (17.7").
Water Requirements
Make sure the water supply/ faucet connection is within reach of the inlet and drain hose assembly (i.e., 58 cm / 22.8"). If your sink has a spray wand, it is recommended that the hose be disconnected and the hole plugged.
Water Temperature
For best results, the water temperature must be at least 55ºC (130ºF). To prevent damage to the dishwasher, the temperature of the incoming water supply should not exceed 65ºC (149ºF).
Electrical Requirements
Read all safety precautions listed at the beginning of this manual. It is recommended that you use receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.
Electrical Connection
Ensure the voltage and frequency of the power source being used corresponds to those on the rating plate. Only insert the plug into an electrical socket which is earthed properly. If the only available electrical socket the appliance can be connected to is not compatible with the the prong plug, replace the socket, rather than using an adapter or the like as they could cause overheating and safety issues.
Grounding Instructions
This appliance must be earthed. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, earthing will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-earthing conductor and an earthing plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and earthed in accordance with all local standards and requirements.
Water Connection
Your dishwasher comes equipped with a 'quick connect' assembly (includes: inlet and drain hose). The faucet adapter must be installed on the faucet before you can connect the dishwasher. The adapter is included inside your dishwasher. The faucet adapter is compatible with faucets inclusive of either male (outside) or female (inside) threaded faucet connections.
Quick Connect Assembly
DO NOT LET CHILDREN DISCONNECT THE DISHWASHER; CLOSE SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT AROUND APPLIANCES.
NOTE:
Hard water conditions will adversely affect the washing performance of your dishwasher. Hard water conditions will also contribute to 'lime' (white film substance) deposits and/or 'scaling' on the stainless steel surface of the dishwasher tub and heater element, located in the sump underneath the removable filter screen. To assist in minimizing these conditions, it is recommended to periodically operate/ rinse the inside of the dishwasher while empty using 1 cup of white vinegar at least once a week.
FAUCET WASHER
If your existing faucet is not compatible with the quick connect faucet adapter connection:
Connect the quick connect assembly to the faucet
NOTE: The quick connect adapter's small hose carries water from the faucet to the dishwasher. The large hose carries water from the dishwasher to the sink. Orient the faucet with the quick connect adapter attached so water from the quick connect adapter will run into the sink drain.
Note: If the dishwasher is not in use, the quick connect assembly may be disconnected from the faucet.
Disconnect and store your dishwasher
Remove Power
Remove quick connect assembly from faucet
Store the dishwasher
CHECK BEFORE FIRST USE
The following things should be checked before starting the dishwasher.
Proper Use of Detergent
Detergents with chemical ingredients are necessary to remove dirt, crush dirt and transport it out of the dishwasher. Use only detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers. Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Do not put powder detergent into the dispenser until you are ready to wash dishes.
The amount of detergent to use depends on whether your water is hard or soft. With hard water, you need extra detergent to alleviate the deposits that are left by the excessive minerals. Less detergent is needed for soft water.
To identify whether your water is hard or soft, contact your water department. A water softener is recommended for water that contains twelve or more grains. Without it, lime can build up in the water valve, which could stick while open and cause flooding. Too much detergent with soft water can cause a permanent cloudiness of glassware, called etching.
NOTE:
Grains - in terms of water hardness measurement, refer to the unit of weight that is equivalent to 1/7000th of a pound.
For heavily soiled loads, use the HEAVY WASH Cycle, fill one or both of the interior cups, depending on the hardness of your water, and also fill the open cup on the dispenser lid. Use the information in the table below as a guideline to determine the amount of automatic dishwasher detergent to place in the dispenser:
Number of Grains | Detergent Cups to Fill |
Less than 4 | 15g (B) |
4 to 8 | 25g (C) |
8 to 12 | B and C |
Greater than 12 | A (open cup), B, and C |
Detergent Tablets
Detergent tablets of different brands dissolve at different speeds. For this reason some detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short programs. Therefore please use long programs when using detergent tablets, to ensure the complete removal of detergent residuals.
Detergent Dispenser
The detergent dispenser must be filled before the start of each washing cycle following the instructions provided in the Wash Cycle Table. Your countertop dishwasher uses less detergent and rinse aid than a conventional dishwasher. Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is needed for a normal wash load. Also, more heavily soiled items need more detergent. Always add the detergent just before starting the dishwasher, otherwise it could get damp and will not dissolve properly.
Filling in Detergent
Note:
Amount of Detergent to Use
Fill the detergent dispenser with detergent. Close the lid and press until it locks in place.
The marking indicates the dosing levels, as illustrated on right.
Note:
DO NOT USE HANDWASHING DISH DETERGENT!
Using a detergent that is not specifically designed for dishwashers will cause the dishwasher to fill with suds. During operation, these suds will spill out of the dishwasher which may cause overflow.
Function of Rinse Aid
Rinse aids are designed for great drying action and to protect against spots and film build-up on your dishes, glasses, flatware, cookware, and plastic.
Rinse Aid Dispenser
The rinse aid is released during the final rinse to prevent water from forming droplets on your dishes. It also improves drying by allowing water to sheet off the dishes. Your dishwasher is designed to use liquid rinse aids. The rinse aid dispenser is located on the inside of the door next to the detergent dispenser.
When to Refill the Rinse Aid Dispenser
If there is no rinse aid warning light in the control panel, you can judge the amount of rinse aid by the color of the optical level indicator located next to the cap. When the rinse aid container is full, the whole indicator will be dark. As the rinse aid diminishes, the size of the dark dot decreases.
Only use branded rinse aids for dishwashers. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with any other substances (e.g. Dishwasher cleaning agent, liquid detergent). This may damage the appliance.
NOTE: If water spots are not visible and you are satisfied with the drying results, using a rinse aid is optional.
As the rinse aid diminishes, the size of the black dot on the rinse aid level indicator changes, as illustrated below. The volume of the rinse aid container is about 110ml.

Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Note:
Clean up any rinse aid spilled during filling with an absorbent cloth to avoid excessive foaming during the next wash. Do not forget to replace the cap before you close dishwasher door.
Adjusting Rinse Aid
The amount of rinse aid released into the final wash can be adjusted. The rinse aid dispenser has four settings and the recommended setting is on "3".
If the dishes still are not drying properly or are spotted, adjust the rinse aid lever to the next higher number on "4".
NOTE:
Recommendation
ITEMS THAT ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR THE DISHWASHER
Attention before or after loading the Dishwasher Baskets
For best performance, follow these loading guidelines.
Scrape off any large leftover food particles. Soften remnants of burnt food in pans. It is not necessary to rinse the dishes under running water. Place objects in the dishwasher in following way:
NOTE:
Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they could easily fall out of the basket.
A properly loaded dishwasher is key for optimal performance. Overfilling or 'messy' loading of the dishwasher can reduce the efficiency. This counter-top dishwasher is optimized for holding 6 place settings. Refer to the arrangement below for optimal loading. Position the dishes and cookware so they are secure during the wash cycle and cannot be moved by sprayed water.
Plate racks of basket
The basket is fitted with plate racks which can be stowed horizontal if required.
Silverware Basket
Silverware such as spoons should be placed in the silverware basket with handles at the bottom.
Long utensils should be placed in the horizontal position at the front of the upper basket.
Sharp objects, such as forks and knives should be placed with the handles up.
Avoid allowing items to nest together, which may keep them from being properly washed. When loading, distribute items evenly in the basket.
Press the "P" program button to select the desired wash program on the control panel.

NOTE: When using an Express Wash cycle function, drying and washing time is decreased. Operation time is based on the selected wash program.
Timer Function
The timer function mode enables a delayed switch ON of the dishwasher. The timer (hours) is adjustable between 1-24 hours.
With the dishwasher is off, add recommended amount of detergent in the detergent dispenser (liquid or pot detergent recommended). Set the desired time delay ON hours by pressing the Timer button. Select desired wash program by pressing the Program Selector button. To confirm selection, press the Start/Pause Button. The digital clock colon symbol will start flashing to confirm that the delay function is enabled.
It is dangerous to open the door when dishwasher is in operation. Make sure to PAUSE operation and wait for 30 seconds before opening the dishwasher door.
Cleaning Baby Bottles In The Dishwasher
If your baby bottles are glass or dishwasher safe plastic then you have the option of using the dishwasher to clean them. Just like cleaning by hand, you will need to separate the baby bottle into its individual parts.
Placing your baby bottle lids and nipples in the dishwasher may cause them to slip between the gaps in the tray and become destroyed. A dishwasher basket is a great way to keep your nipples and sippy cup lids in one place.
Avoid cleaning your baby bottles with dishes that contained food capable of staining. For example, pasta sauce can get splattered over your baby feeding equipment during the cleaning process. The high temperature will then cause the pigment to set, resulting in stained nipples and bottles.
Program Lock
You can lock the controls to prevent selections from being made. You can also lock the controls after you have started a cycle to prevent cycle changes. For example, children cannot accidentally start the dishwasher by pressing pads with this option selected.
To LOCK the dishwasher control, press and hold the Program Lock button for 3 seconds. The Program Lock light will turn on to indicate the control is locked.
Water Faucet Indicator
When the dishwasher detects that water pressure is low, the water faucet indicator will illuminate and the dishwasher will stop temporarily. Make sure that the incoming water pressure should be between 15 and 20 pounds per square inch (psi).
Rinse Aid Warning Light
When the dishwasher detects that the rinse aid dispenser needs to be refilled, the rinse aid warning indicator will illuminate. See section "B. Fill the Rinse Aid Dispenser".
Note: If water spots are not visible and satisfied with the drying results, using a rinse aid is optional.
Program Completed Light
At the end of each wash program, the Program Completed indicator will illuminate indicating that program has completed.
Forget to Add a Dish
A dish or item can be added any time before the detergent dispenser opens.
At the End of the Wash Cycle
When the washing cycle has finished, the buzzer alarm will sound for 8 seconds. Turn off the dishwasher using the ON/OFF button, shut off the water supply and open the door of the dishwasher. Wait a few minutes before unloading the dishwasher to avoid handling the dishes and utensils while they are still hot and more susceptible to breakage. They will also dry better.
The dishwasher will power off automatically after 30 minutes without any operation.
Filter System
The filter system consists of a coarse filter (A), fine filter (B) and a main filter (C).
Coarse filter A
Larger items, such as pieces of bone or glass, that could block the drain are trapped in the coarse filter. To remove the items caught by the filter, gently squeeze the tap on the top of this filter and lift out.
Fine filter B
This filter holds soil and food residue in the sump area and prevents it from being deposited on the dishes during wash cycle.
Main filter C
Food and soil particles trapped by this filter are pulverized by a special jet on the spray arm and washed down to drain.
Filter assembly
The filter assembly efficiently removes food particles from the wash water, allowing it to be recycled during the cycle. For best performance and results, the filter assembly must be cleaned regularly. For this reason, it is a good idea to remove the larger food particles trapping in the filter after each wash cycle by rinsing the filter assembly under running water. To remove the filter assembly, pull on the cup handle in the upward direction.
Never run the dishwasher without the filters in place. Improper replacement of the filter may reduce the performance level of the appliance and damage dishes and utensils.
Note:
Cleaning The Filter
To clean the coarse filter and the fine filter, use a cleaning brush. Reassemble the filter parts and reinsert the entire assembly in the dishwasher, positioning it in its seat and pressing downward.
Cleaning The Door
To clean the edge around the door, use only a soft cloth dampened with warm water. To avoid penetration of water into the door lock and electrical components, do not use a spray cleaner of any kind.
Protect Against Freezing
Please take frost protection measures on dishwasher in winter. After all washing cycles, please operate as follows:
Cleaning the Spray Arms
The spray arms can be easily removed for periodic cleaning of the nozzles, to prevent possible clogging. Wash them under running water and carefully replace them in their seats, checking that their rotary movement is in no way impeded. Grasp the middle of the spray arm, pull it upwards to remove it. Wash the arms under a jet of running water and return them carefully to their seat. After reassembly, check that the spray arms turn freely.
Otherwise, check if the sprays arms are installed correctly.
