Anwendung
Der Anschlusskasten Typ 6944 wird als ortsfestes Gerät in
Bereichen eingesetzt, die durch explosions fähige Gas- bzw.
Staub-Atmosphäre gefährdet werden können und Geräte
der Gerätegruppe II der Geräte kategorien 2G und
2D erfordern.
Die Anschlusskasten Typ 6944 ist in den nachfolgenden
Zündschutzarten realisiert:
Ex e IIC T4 Gb
Ex tb IIIC T135°C Db
IP66
Temperaturbereich: -40 °C
Der Anschlusskasten Typ 6944 ermöglicht den direkten
elektrischen Anschluss von bis zu drei verschiedenen
explosionsgeschützten Geräten.
Zum Anschlusskasten gehört eine Montageplatte, die die
mechanische Befestigung von bis zu drei FHF Signal-
geräten ermöglicht.
Die Errichtungsbestimmungen gemäß IEC/EN 60079-14
sowie die jeweiligen nationalen Errichtungsbestimmungen
sind grundsätzlich zu beachten.
Fehlfunktionen oder Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachten
dieser Anleitung oder durch Nichteinhaltung gesetzlicher
Bestimmungen entstehen, führen nicht zu Haftungsan-
sprüchen gegenüber dem Hersteller.
Mitgeltende Unterlagen
Neben dieser Betriebsanleitung sind die Betriebsan -
leitungen der jeweiligen Signalgeräte zu beachten.
Achtung!
Verletzungsgefahr an Kanten und Blech-
teilen. Bei Transport und Einbau Schutz-
handschuhe tragen.
Geräteaufbau
Der Anschlusskasten Typ 6944 hat ein unlackiertes
Gehäuse aus elektrostatisch leitfähigem Presswerkstoff.
Das Gehäuse besteht aus einem kastenförmigen Unterteil
und Deckel. Der Deckel wird unter Zwischen lage einer um-
laufenden Dichtung mittels vier Schrauben auf das
Gehäuse unterteil gepresst und bildet den nicht eigensi-
cheren Anschlussraum.
Die Montageplatte ist aus 3 mm starkem Edelstahlblech
des Typs 1.4301 (AISI 304) hergestellt.

Application
The type 6944 terminal box is used as a stationary device
in areas with the risk of explosive gas or in dusty environ-
ments and where required due to devices of the device
group II, device categories 2G and 2D.
The type 6944 terminal box is manufactured with the
following types of protection:
Ex e IIC T4 Gb
Ex tb IIIC T135°C Db
IP66
Temperature range: -40 °C
The type 6944 terminal box is used for the direct electric
connection of up to three different explosion-protected
devices.
The mounting plate is intended for the mechanical attach-
ment of up to three FHF signalling devices.
The installation regulations pursuant to IEC/EN 60079-14
and relevant national installation regulations must be
complied with.
Malfunction or damage caused by non-compliance
with these instructions or non-compliance with the
legal requirements will lead to the expiry of all warranty
claims against the manufacturer.
Applicable documents
Besides these instructions, the instructions of all signalling
devices must be observed.
Attention!
Risk of injury due to edges and sheet metal
parts. Wear protective gloves during trans-
port and installation.
Device structure
The type 6944 terminal box is fitted with an unpainted
casing made of antistatic stamped material. The casing
consists of a box-shaped lower part and a cover.
The cover has a seal running along its edges and it is
pressed on the casing lower part by four screws
and together they form a non-intrinsically safe terminal
compartment.
The mounting plate is made of 3 mm thick type 1.4301
(AISI 304) stainless steel sheet.
