2. With the unit placed in Play (or Record) mode, make sure
that the plunger/solenoid interlocking lever is in contact

with the play lever Jock plate and simultaneously that there
is a clearance of 0 to 0.5 mm {0 to .0197 in.} between the
selector lever of the plunger/solenoid interlocking lever
and the plate spring of the rewind/fast forward operation
lever.
_ Set the unit in Fast Forward for Rewind) mode and make
sure that the plunger/solenoid interlocking lever is in
contact with the fast forward/rewind lever jock plate.
Next check that the fast forward {or rewind) lever is
released enough to fully attract the plunger/solenoid iron
core,
