7 Operating ventilation unit(s)
Automatic dehumidification is always active re-
gardless of the set operating mode (automatic or
system operation).
The FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit)/FWL-Push-
Pull-30 RC (TwinUnit) units automatically start
the dehumidification process (exhaust air mode or
intensive ventilation). The dehumidification
strategy is set using the commissioning software/
in service mode (installer level).
Increased wind loads (strong gusts) can in-
fluence the moisture detection of the internal
sensor due to the system.
7.6.4 Exhaust air mode configuration
Above intensive ventilation (IV), the FWL-Push-
Pull-30 (TwinUnit)/FWL-PushPull-30 RC (Twin-
Unit) unit switches into exhaust air mode (= max.
air extraction at 45 m³/h) until the humidity falls
3 % below the maximum humidity value. In ex-
haust air mode, volumetric flow compensation is
carried out with all ventilation units connected to
the FWL-PushPull RLS-K or with FWL-Push-
Pull-45 RC (master + slave) or via the FWL-
PushPull-30 RC (TwinUnit) slave. For examples
of dehumidification strategies and splitting of the
volumetric flows → Appendix. The FWL-Push-
Pull-45 units connected to the FWL-PushPull
RLS-K automatically switch to supply air.
7.6.5 Intensive ventilation configuration
Above the maximum humidity value limit, the
FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit)/FWL-PushPull-30
RC (TwinUnit) units run with intensive ventilation.
This mode is ended automatically when the hu-
midity falls 3 % below the maximum humidity
value.
Exhaust air mode/intensive ventilation can
also be started manually with the optional
buttons/switches.
Functions started manually run for the set
time (parametersFWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit)/
FWL-PushPull-30 RC (TwinUnit) duration of
button function/duration of ventilation level)
and then switch off automatically. For manual
operation → Manual exhaust air mode and
Manual exhaust air mode and intensive ventila-
tion.
7.7 Manual exhaust air mode and in-
tensive ventilation
For FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit) / FWL-Push-
Pull-30 RC (TwinUnit)
This mode is switched on manually using an op-
tional button or switch. We would recommend us-
ing a switch for the start delay. Parameters for the

FWL-PushPull-45, FWL-PushPull-45 RC
function duration and start delay can be set by the
specialist installer using the commissioning soft-
ware.
Volumetric flow compensation for a FWL-Push-
Pull-30 (TwinUnit) / FWL-PushPull-30 RC
(TwinUnit) exhaust air mode is undertaken using
the FWL-PushPull-45 units connected to the fan
interface (Fan1 / Fan2). These run in supply air
mode when exhaust air mode is active.
The volumetric flow compensation of the
FWL-PushPull-30 (TwinUnit)/FWL-PushPull-30
RC (TwinUnit)units in exhaust air mode is car-
ried out by FWL-PushPull-45 units → FWL-
PushPull volumetric flows [} 66].
With the FWL-PushPull-30 RC (TwinUnit)
device variant, the operating mode (service
mode) selected for the optional pushbutton
can also be carried out with the FWL-PushPull
RLS-RC radio pushbutton.

7.8 Deactivating ventilation level "0"

The Off function (ventilation level 0) can be deac-
tivated by the specialist installer. This ensures a
permanent basic level of ventilation to avoid dam-
age from mould, for example. For further informa-
tion → Installation and commissioning instruc-
tions.

7.9 Control unit's LED display

The LEDs are dimmed after 5 minutes to save en-
ergy. To switch back to normal operation, simply
press a key. The LED display can be set using
the commissioning software of the FWL-Push-
Pull RLS-K control (function cannot be set in ser-
vice mode).
7.10 Sleep mode – level 0
For ventilation units on FWL-PushPull RLS:
Function not available.
For ventilation units on RLS 45 KFWL-Push-
Pull RLS-K, FWL-PushPull RLS-RC: Function
available.
All ventilation units connected to a room air con-
trol are switched off for 60 minutes (parameters
can be adjusted). For details of operation → Op-
erating keys, displays, LEDs [} 44].
Sleep mode can also be switched on/off using an
optional button connected to the 230 V input of
the FWL-PushPull RLS-K control. The 230 VAC
input must be set to the sleep mode function →
Commissioning software.
Sleep mode is not available for ventilation
units connected to the power units.
