The.output.from.all.germicidal.UV.lamps.decreases.with.use.as.the.glass.tube.gradually.loses.its.ability.to.transmit. the.short.wavelengths.of.ultraviolet..Even.though.they.may.still.emit.a.visible.violet.glow,.the.UV.output.may.be.close. to.zero..Replace.lamps.on.a.regular.basis..Lamps.contain.mercury;.dispose.of.in.an.environmentally.safe.manner. Germicidal.lamps.operate.most.effectively.at.room.temperature.(72°-76°F).with.output.diminishing.as.the.tem- perature.increases.or.decreases.
