  • Page 3 GETTING STARTED ⚠ Make sure your Eurorack system is turned off before installing a new module! The 10-pin connector should already be connected to your module with the red stripe on the power cable oriented towards the -12V marking. 2. Connect the free end of the power cable to the 16-pin Eurorack header on your power supply system.

INTRODUCTION Introducing Wrinkler MK2, a fresh take on its predecessor, the Wrinkler. This updated version features a new extended circuit design full of innovative enhancements. At its essence, it's a wavefolder inspired by the pioneering works of Buchla and Serge but with a bunch of tricks added.
  • Page 5: ② Fold

② FOLD The big FOLD knob controls how many folds are added to your waveform. When turning this knob (from left to right), it starts completely flat (and silent), and then gradually begins bending and folding the wave, adding more harmonic content for every new fold. The folding can also be controlled with CV via the two input jacks (FOLD A and B).
  • Page 6: ④ Symmetry

④ SYMMETRY The SYMMETRY knob determines where on the waveform the folding takes place. The standard setting is at 12 o' c lock which represents the center on the waveform. You can get a lot of variation by just slightly offsetting the symmetry. This has a great impact on the sound character and can also be modulated via a dedicated CV input.
  • Page 7: ⑦ Mod Level (1 - 3)

though, the combination of the folded signal and the dry one can create a very “hot” signal which you may want to tame with an additional VCA after output from the module . MOD LVL ⑦ ● The first two MOD LVL knobs are attenuators for CV coming from the FOLD A and FOLD B inputs, both controlling the primary folding circuit.

additional lowpass filter and VCA. If you would like more movement in the sound, just add an LFO to the FOLD B or SYMMETRY input. Bass synth 2 Here’ s an example of quite nice, buzzy sounding bass using MODE C to generate the special kind of pulse-train wave described earlier in this document.
  • Page 9: Ring Folder

Ring Folder To explore this patch you’ll need a second VCO or a LFO (which can run at audio rates), an envelope generator and a VCA. In this setup the main input is the Carrier and the Modulator is represented by the internal VCA controlling the GAIN. To create this bell-like sound you set your carrier VCO to play approximately two octaves higher than the modulating VCO.
  • Page 10: ⑩ More To Explore

MORE TO EXPLORE? ⑩ This was just some examples to get you started but there’ s obviously a lot more that you could do with your Wrinkler MK2. Run your drum machine through it? Process CV (it’ s DC coupled) to get interesting LFO patterns? Or maybe wrinkle the curve coming out of your envelope generator? Possibilities are endless and we hope you’ll find this module to be an inspiring and creative tool in your sound and music making process.
