ALVES All inflatable components of our Nyce Nugget kayaks are manufactured using Halkey Roberts/Summit-style valves for pressurization. This includes the primary air chamber, drop-stitch floor, and thwart. NFLATION 1. Turn the valve cap counter-clockwise to unscrew and access the valve. -

Changes in air temperature and altitude will impact the amount of pressure in the chambers. Due to temperature and altitude changes, the air pressure inside the kayak fluctuates and may need readjustment to the pressure in the chambers throughout the day. Hot days / air will cause the pressure to rise. -

At times, dirt and sand may find their way into some components of the valves, which can result in the escape of air from the chambers. It may be necessary to remove the valves to clean them. 1. Utilize the Provided Valve Tool: Your kayak includes a specialized tool designed for valve maintenance. With the chamber inflated, connect the tool to the valve and turn it clockwise to loosen and fully remove. -

Clean your kayak. Properly clean your kayak following the steps outlined in the Cleaning and Maintenance section. Deflate and air dry. Partially deflate your kayak to soft pressure and allow to fully dry. Spray with UV protection. Treat your kayak with a layer of UV protection for plastics; we recommend 303 Aerospace/Marine UV protection. -
